Chartered Coaching Psychologist
Rosie Derbyshire
Rosie is a Chartered Coaching Psychologist with a belief system rooted in humanistic psychology.
At its heart, her practice is about being curiously client-centred, valuing individuals for who they are, with their own agency and choices and supporting them on their development journey.
She believes in the need to consider holistic human beings and in development that helps them to reach their full potential.
Following her own life shifts, including maternity leaves and diagnosis with Multiple Sclerosis, she is particularly interested in transition, wellbeing and behavioural change.
She has experience with a range of tools and techniques that can be used to help with client’s thinking, leadership skills and understanding about their behaviour.
She is constantly developing her own skills with further learning in areas such as mindfulness, motivational interviewing and coach supervision.
She introduces the 8 Tensions existential framework as a way to explore the tensions that we can all feel around identity and transitions.
She brings her knowledge of the Psychology of Work, Coaching Psychology, Leadership Development and Personal Development to her work as a coach and supervisor.
As she is on the BPS RAPPS register for supervising Coaching Psychologists, having supervision with her will fulfil that requirement of your Chartership.
She views coaches as autonomous professionals, who know the value and values of themselves and their clients, whether or not those values have yet been made explicit.
She believes that all coaches are on a development path that we can explore together, partnering to understand the meaning making that you are undertaking with your clients and within yourselves.
