Kathryn offers individual and group coaching and supervision, and consultancy services in areas relating to compassion, communication skills, development of critically reflective practice, and writing for publication.
She has extensive experience in higher education leadership and management roles and is skilled at facilitating individual and team learning and organisational development. Kathryn gently enables clients to ask difficult questions of themselves and of others. Examples of feedback on her approach are:
“Kathryn is an excellent coach with an intelligent awareness and listening skills. She is open and authentic, collaborative in style and takes a critical stance to both the issues and outcomes of our coaching conversations.”
“I really liked the way Kathryn used images – it challenged me to think about my inner feelings.”
“Kathryn has highly effective coaching skills, particularly regarding motivation and goal setting to support productive academic writing.”
The Eight Tensions® framework complements Kathryn’s approach to systemic coaching practice, which requires two metaphorical lenses: reading glasses for ‘zooming in’ and binoculars for ‘zooming out.’ The framework also helps to bring difficult existential questions about climate and ecological crises into coaching conversations.
